Kite spot and wind condition

​

Kite season starts in August and last till December. The highest season though falls onto October and November. Wind speed vary between 15-35 knots depending on the kite spot. The more up north you travel the stronger wind you get. The thing that we can be sure of, we will always find the wind. Brazil is the place where wind blows every day, so we don’t have to check the forecast.

Plan of the trip

Our daily routine will start with the morning yoga, breakfast and 1.5 hour of coaching in the water in the small group & video analysis in the evening.

7-10.11

• Arriving at the airport in Fortaleza. 

• Transfer to Taiba

• We will enjoy 3 nights in Taiba, at Posada Oceania (casual quest house) located just 8 minutes away from the common Taiba Lagoon and 

• We are starting from the flat and easy spot so you can start warming up those skills. 

• There is a local small restaurant at the spot where you can always rest under the shade in between your sessions and have acai or coconut to top up the energy  

• After coaching in the lagoon, you can jump in for the open sea wave session if you wish or continue practicing in the lagoon. 

• Taiba is a small local village where you can experience the local vibe and try the delicious local acai.

10-13.11

• On the 10th we will move to Guaijru, where we will still at the small and charming Lua Hotel 

• Hotel is located in the village, just 4 minutes walk from the main beach and main square

• It's a local fishermen village known for the wave spot

• But don't worry about the waves we will be mainly going to the flat ,sweat water lagoon , called Donkey Lagoon. 

• Donkey Lagoon is about 25 minutes fun beach ride from the hotel, we will be crossing the river with the local "bridge" to get there or to come back, depending on the tide.

• We will also have planned a short down winder from the lagoon to Emboca, a spot with a more regular wave. That will be optional depending on your level and preference of staying at the lagoon.  

13-16.11

• Our last destination will be Ilha de Guaijru, where we stay at stunning Kalit Hotel. The place is right at the spot and its really beautiful and convenient. Kalit has a stunning set up and very strategic location after our exploration mode in the previous 2 locations.

• The kite spot is a bit more demanding than previous 2 spots, its flat in a low tide and choppy on the high tide.  ​

• It's a perfect way to finish the trip after exploration mode to relax in the hotel right at the spot.

• If the tides allow and the level of the group we will do beautiful Almofala down wind, which can be done only on the high tide, when there is enough water in the river.

• 7:00 1 hour of Morning Yoga/Mobility

• 8:00 Breakfast 

• 10:30/11:00 1.5 hour of kite coaching with video analysis

• Kite till sunset  

• Dinner and video analysis
